FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: ALBANY – More than 1,000 New Yorkers came to the state Capitol on March 25th in a final push to have Gov. Cuomo and the Legislature include living wage funding for direct care workers in the final state budget.

At a shoulder-to-shoulder rally in the 2nd Floor War Room, Counsel to the Governor Alphonso David told the crowd the Governor would not accept a budget that doesn’t increase wages for direct care workers.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – St. Lawrence NYSARC, a private, non-profit organization committed to maximizing the potential of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, received grants totaling $38,500 from the Trustee Management board of NYSARC Trust Services, in 2018. The funds were used to support local guardianship and recreational programs benefitting 1,513 people with disabilities.

Potsdam Elks Lodge #2074 donated $400 to St. Lawrence NYSARC’s Autism Awareness Walk. This year's Walk had over 450 participants in attendance and raised more than $20,000 to support local programs for people on the Autism Spectrum.
