FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – St. Lawrence NYSARC, a private, non-profit organization committed to maximizing the potential of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will hold the 37th Annual Fund Raiser drawing on Friday, May 5, 2017 at St. Lawrence University’s Eben Holden Dining Center in Canton, NY. The certificate drawing will be at 6:00 p.m. just prior to the Agency’s Annual Dinner.  Proceeds will support the purchase of technology to enhance education options for people with disabilities.

Jefferson Rehabilitation Center, a Chapter of NYSARC, Inc. which has been in operation since 1954, providing services, supports and opportunities for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and sister Chapter St. Lawrence NYSARC since 1959, committed to maximizing the potential of people with disabilities, are exploring the opportunity of unification. The St. Lawrence and Jefferson Board of Directors have agreed to move forward with unification process immediately. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – St. Lawrence NYSARC, a private, non-profit organization committed to maximizing the potential of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, received a $12,500 grant to increase recreational options. The funds were used to give 75 people with disabilities educational and fun choices for leisure activities.
